Belize Limited Liability Company (LLC)

The Limited Liability Company or LLC is a hybrid of the Limited Liability Corporation / Limited Company and a Partnership. This legal entity has long existed in civil law jurisdictions for example the French Société à Responsabilité Limitée (SARL) and the German Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung (GmbH). Also most states in the USA have some form of LLC. This type of entity also exists in some offshore jurisdictions. While many entities are taxed at both the corporate and shareholder level, LLCs may avoid multiple taxation while still limiting the liability of its members to the extent of the contributions made by them to the Company.
